Hey Anona

Hey Anona, how did you like doing copy staff for the Scroll?

Anona has another job? FOR THE SCROLL???

Not now. Before she or I worked at the Writing Center we worked together at the Scroll, though I don't think we ever said a word to each other. But, I'm thinking of editing for the Scroll because I'd like to pick up an internship with Church Magazines next fall, and editing experience would look (and be) great for that. No worries, wouldn't interfere with the Center.

It's true Sister Morgan, Scroll editing is mostly on Saturdays.

Yes, me and Chandler worked together back in the day, but the only memory I have about him from back then is of these girls flirting with him and wanting to touch his hair. ( I guess when it's short it feels cool.) So I remember thinking about how annoying these girls were...and actually Chandler in connection with them for letting them treat him like some novelty. But that's all in the past.

The editing is great experience, Chandler. Plus it fulfills the inner desire to spend your time pointing out other people's mistakes. Seriously though, it helped me learn editing marks and such. You might talk to Jade--she did an internship for the New Era this past fall and wrote some feature articles for them. Or if you want me to, I can ask her any questions you might have. She's in my group in Keller's class.

What should I say when girls ask to touch my hair? It's bound to happen again, so please suggest a few honorable, non-novelty replies. Here are a few I thought of:
"When did you last wash your hands?"
"Are you trying to get your ecclesiastical endorsement revoked?"
"No way Jose."

How about this one Chan:
"Did you know some people actually shower once a day? Man, what a waste of our natural resources. Once a month is way more than necessary."

Ooh, I like Julie's. I agree, it might be hard to gracefully defer the weird hair-touching. But to get the maximum benefit from this whole touchy thing, you could say
"Sure, I loooove scalp massages."

Hey, you're talking about Jade Schwartzman, right? Ummm... if you could ask her/let her know I'll be contacting her, that would be fine. Thanks a bunch. I hope you bother looking at this post again, even though it's kind of old.

Okay, I've got another one:
"Don't mind the white stuff in my scalp. It looks different than the last time I had lice."
