WC Party--Provo style

I'd like to plan Writing Center reunion for those of us who live in the Provo area (spouses and children invited, of course).

I think it would be fun to roast hot dogs and marshmallows over a campfire in the canyon.

The date I have in mind is September 12 starting around 4 or 5ish so those with children aren't out too late.

All in favor? Leave a comment or email me (sararachels@gmail.com).

Note: If I have your email address and you live in/around Provo, you should already have this message.

If you don't live in Provo, take a road trip. We'd love to see you.

Sara! I'm coming to Provo for two weeks starting Sept. 18th. I would love to get together with whomever else is around or if that doesn't work out even just to go out to lunch and catch up with you would be great! Keep me in the loop on this thing!

Hazel and I won't be able to make it on the 12th, but I'm with Anona on making it a week or two later because that should work out better for us, too. =D

I'm in like flynn. That means that I am interested in a Provo WC reunion. I wouldn't bother explaining that, except last time I used the expression, the people to whom I was talking didn't know what I meant and therefore didn't know if I was coming or not. As a side note, the expression is of unknown origin, though experts speculate that it may have something to do with Errol Flynn and his notorious promiscuity.

Oh, and any day works.

Chan, I miss you for this reason

Chan, I agree with Skyler.

I definitely want to include Anona and Leanna, so let's take a poll:

September 19

OR

September 26?

The choice is yours, my friends.

PS if the canyon is too far for anyone, we could have a get together at my place instead. I have a backyard, and we could barbecue. I'm not sure about a campfire, though...

Maybe you could blow up a picture of me and have it sit with you at the party.

Sorry to be so inflexible, but we won't be able to make it on the 26th, either, but don't feel obligated to plan it around us.

Me too, EmPo. Or perhaps you could raise a fund and fly us both to Provo for the week? Eh? Any takers?

Leanna--
What if we did a lunch thing instead of a dinner thing? Meet around noon?

But Empo, what if the picture of you falls in the fire? What if by some strange coincidence they were practicing voodoo magic in that area and. . .

Sorry Sara, but we'll be out of town on the 26th, so lunch wouldn't work either. Seriously, though, don't worry about me--I don't want everyone working around my schedule. Just do whatever you need to do to get the majority there. =D

Ivor, if my lifesize me falls into the fire, I blame you.

The end.

Sara Lee, this just won't be the same unless you make life-size statues of Leanna, EmPo, Julie, me, Ivor, etc. If you don't, we'll come anyway--in spirit--and stand silently haunting your fire until it snuffs out mysteriously in front of you. That's the sign. Watch for it, and be afraid, very afraid.

Can we compromise? I mean, we jumped from not attending to life-size cardboard cutout pretty quick. Howabout 2/17 scale cutouts, paper, colored?
