BLACK BEAR STEW
4 to 5 lbs. bear meat cut in 1 inch cubes
1/4 cup flour
1 tbs. italian seasoning (didn't have it, so we used dirt)
4 tbs. butter (we used extra fat from the bear. Didn't have butter)
2 tbs. vegetable or corn oil (Same here)
1 8 oz. tin beef broth
4 bay leaves (do not eat)
2 lb. small. potatoes
1 lb. fresh mushrooms (anything you can find is great)
5 carrots sliced
1 turnip cubed (important ingredient, so spend a while rummaging it up)
Preheat oven to 325 Degrees if you have an oven. If not, stoke a blazing fire (Leanna was good at this. You'd all be surprised.) In a large dutch oven add 2 or 3 qts. of water and all ingredients. Ideallly you'd have a skillet. We used coconut shells. Cook approx. 2 to 3 hrs. adding water if necessary checking every 30 mins.,
BON APPETITE!
I've never seen Sister Morgan dance around a fire with eagle feathers in her hair, but she must do it often because she was quite skilled at doing so. Sorry everyone missed it. I don't even have pictures of it--my camera dropped out of the tree I climbed (to surprise the bear) and shattered. Since Sister Morgan kept the eagle as a pet until Christmas, we do have pictures of him. I can't remember what she named him. Good looking guy, huh?

I don't really know what to say about this...
Maybe it really IS a good thing that I came home for the break.
I feel the same Ivor. I....am at a loss for words.
I did this once, but it was with a moose and a parrot.
Dan...where did you come from?
So will someone please clarify what really happened here?
Dan, you skinned the moose alive and kept the parrot for a pet? Cool. Hey, I'll trade ya for your parrot. This eagle is a dud. He just sits on the table and disdainfully watches Patch. Leanna, I told you we should have settled for the smaller one, but nooooo, you had to keep climbing the cliff to the highest nest. Man, it must be those pregnancy vitamins, but I had to hang onto her leg to keep up. I mean this girl did not even look down when we heard the blood-curdling screams from the bear Jami was skinning alive. Whew. Great day. Ibo, you'll learn not to fly from Canada when we invite you to a movie. We even made drums from the bear skin for Leanna to play while Jami and I wildly danced around the fire after we painted our faces with bear blood.

Clarify? ...Well. It was just another movie night, Julie, like the one when we (Kristin, Mike, Chris, Anona, and I) set up a picnic after one of our WC movies nights, with thick brownie ice cream cake outside Barnes & Noble when you worked there. Remember? We kept yelling threats through a mega phone for you to come out before we ate the rest of your food? The cops almost came and arrested Anona for disturbing the peace. Geez, all she did was throw small pieces of cake at everyone wearing pink who walked past us. How did we know you weren't working that night?
One time Chandler killed a sasquatch with a Star Crunch. That was pretty amazing.
I think I saw that video on youtube...
