Ha. I think Jen and Tavis tried to post a video, and it didn't work. I'll show it on Tuesday. I can't believe we, non-sleepers, are commenting on a blank space now.
Hey, Nate. This is kind of cool--responding to nothing. Think of it. Is there such a thing as "nothing"? Zero. Blank. Nil. Zilch. Void. Naught. Zip. Vacant. Zap, tap, and re-rap. No-thing. And what would this "nothing" look like? Hitler's death ovens of ashes? A 2008 political promise? Donald Trump's mind? Meth? Paris Hilton's vocabulary? (Whoops. Don't want to be mean.)
When I was a kid and I first learned that the "space" that makes up Space is really nothing--no air, no other gasses, nothing--I couldn't comprehend it. Still can't, actually.
This isn't really an empty space though, it's kind of a squished space that if clicked on opens up a whole world of comments. Is that too a metaphor for life? We can't really be empty because "empty" leads to somewhere else?
maybe there was something there and its just too small for the naked eye. Then I would agree with you ivor. But if in fact there was nothing there...(which I'm still standing behind) then I would have to agree with Chan and I have come full circle of I dont get it. And Paris knows at least two words 'thats hot' and NO that doesnt count as three words. Do you think she's really talking to someone 24/7? I think it's that time and temperature on speed dial.
But . . . Nate. There is something here. It's us. Here we are hidden inside this blog, talking to each other about "nothing." This makes me laugh. I mean laugh right out loud at "us." But I'd rather be here with us than some places out there. Get it?

is this supposed to be a deep metaphor for the emptiness you feel or something? I don't get it.

You should read Joseph had a Little Overcoat. It is Jewish story. It has comments on nothing
