I received a letter today. It began something like this:

Dear Sara,

I am pleased to inform you that you have been admitted to Brigham Young University as a graduate student. We look forward to having you join us for your graduate studies and trust that your graduate experience will be both challenging and rewarding.

WAHOO! (I think an exclamation mark is warranted here)

I am excited. I wanted to let all of you know.

Thank you all for your friendship and encouragement.

Yeehaw! Glad to hear it Sara, you'll do great. Is it a load of your mind?

Sara Lee Shawcroft, this time several exclamation points are warranted. CONGRATS! I could tell your mother was as worried as you were when you were talking to me and Jami. Let me know if you are coming back up here and when I'm supposed to pick you up from Trail ways, or did you bag the Portland competition. Way to go, Girl. Great. Great. Great! Call my cell phone.

Dang girl! I'm sure this is a load off your mind, and that you'll do so well here in Provo. Let me know if you need a place to camp out for a few days or want to take the grand tour of campus or anything (we could get one of those golf carts to take us around...) Anyway, CONGRATS! You deserve this.

Sara,

I might be more excited than you. I'm about to cry. I just told my whole family (since I'm 22 and live with them right now, you know), and they all want you to know they are excited for you, too.

Let's all go celebrate together. Julie, come back from PA. The rest of us will drive down together to Utah. Sara, we'll meet you there.

this might just be the rebel within me, but can you please wear everything we can't? Can you please record the sound of your flip-flops flopping for me and send me a mix tape of it? But seriously, good job! You're amazing!

Sara!
I'm excited for you! Isn't it amazing to look back and realize that you've been guided by Heavenly Father in this decision? It's overwhelming to see that you're on the right track and that Heavenly Father knows you and loves you. Thanks for sharing :)I wish you the best.

Wow...one thing after another. I was so relieved to read my acceptance letter. I was getting really nervous when I didn't hear for so long. I have already registered for fall semester. I'm ecstatic to start classes.

Today, I presented my team's Integrated Marketing Communications campaign at the National Student Advertising Competition, and my team took 2nd place. This is a huge accomplishment.

Our presentation wasn't as smooth as we planned, but we still placed. Incredible. It has been a great experience. Tomorrow is a career jam with 6 workshops, followed by speed interviews and portfolio reviews.

Great. Great. Great. I love it!
